May 5, 2008 at 1:27 pm | In Carriers, Phones, Rumors | No CommentsTags: AT&T, Pantech
Rumors on the web are Pantech and AT&T are cooking up a replacement for the Duo. We’re not entirely sure what they are changing on it with the exception of a better camera (2megapixel), but we hope they do something about the processing speed to kill that delay when sliding the phone open to reveal the keyboard. Anywho, we’re sure to see it around Christmas ‘08. Source

News out of Germany indicates T-Mobile may be interested in Sprint Nextel. While the combination makes no sense, I can see T-Mobile doing it just for the spectrum alone. Source

Nokia News and Plans

Nokia is unhappy with their ownership of the US mobile phone market. To fix this, they plan to release alot of phones “very soon”. It’d be nice if they could get out phones for all levels instead of just the free entry phones. Maybe throw a few N series phones into the mix and it might boost your market share a little. Source
That said, Nokia is said to be releasing the entry level 3555 soon for AT&T. Source

Another iPhone price cut
April 16, 2008 at 2:08 pm | In Rumors | 1 CommentApple is rumored to be cutting the price of the iPhone in the UK. Following other cuts recently, we have two conclusions. 1. Apple is trying to boost sales or 2. Apple is making way for the 3G iPhone by clearing out 2G inventory. Either way, if your in the UK, snap one up!
